The number of bitcoin ATMs in the world has grown by more than 70%

In 2021, the number of installed cryptocurrency ATMs increased by 71.73%, according to the Coin ATM Radar service.

At the time of writing, the number of devices has reached 24,030 units, and on January 1, 2021, there were 13,993 units. Since the beginning of the year, more than 10,000 new bitcoin ATMs have been installed around the world.

Now new bitcoin-ATM are installed at a rate of more than 52 units per day.

The absolute majority of working devices are located in the United States — 21,116 or 87.9% of the total number in the world. There are 1,697 (7%) bitcoin ATMs installed in Canada, which is more than in the whole of Europe.

Among the device manufacturers, Genesis Coin and General Bytes dominate-their market shares are 40.9% and 24%, respectively.

The top 10 leading operators manage more than half of the working bitcoin-ATM (65.2%). The top three — CoinFlip, Bitcoin Depot and CoinCloud-have shares of the total number exceeding 10%.
